Makeup Revolution Ultra Cream Contour Palette | Lucy Webb

Makeup Revolution is an affordable brand located in Superdrug stores, which I absolutely love, having previously tried out their eyeshadows. I was given the Revolution Ultra Cream Contour Palette as a birthday present from a friend and it has positively surprised me. As someone who has never been a fan of cream products, I always feel as though they rub off my foundation or are hard to blend, after having a few tries I think I have worked out my best way to use this product and I absolutely LOVE it. I have found using it after I’ve put my foundation and concealer on and before powder is the perfect way to use it.

Next on the agenda was to find the perfect way to use it, I tested many different ways to apply the products. I tried my everyday contour brush which worked effectively but I think it works better with powder contour. I then found the angled foundation brush from Real Techniques worked amazingly, which is now what I use.

My next task was working out how to use the AMAZING highlighter in the palette. I tried my fingers but this left quite a heavy shine that literally looked like I’d thrown glitter on my face! I then tried a sponge which was a very effective way of balancing out a little shine, I would recommend this, however I have a found a round foundation brush is perfect for stippling a light dusting of the cream product.

I overall, think this product is amazing, plus the fact the palette itself has amazing mirror making it ideal to take anywhere, the products are amazing for blending and the colours are so natural. This palette is also only £8.00 which makes this so worth the money. Would definitely recommend!
