My Favourite Albums Of All Time | Lucy Webb

After carrying out a poll on twitter I found that most people wanted to see a blog post on my favourite albums. So today, I’m simply going to tell you guys the albums that I think you all need to listen to and why I love them!

I started this task of deciding my favourite albums by scrolling through my iTunes as my uni flat doesn’t have all my CD’s. As some of you may know my all time favourite band is The Script but because of my quite large bias to all of their albums (they’re all amazing go listen to them all) I’ve decided to only put 1 out of there present 4 albums in my list. So I carried on my search through iTunes, and here’s what I came up with!

I would have to say out of all of The Script’s albums this is the one I reach for the most. I love every single song on this album and for me I can play this in any mood and I don’t want to skip any and this hardly ever happens. This album brings back so many memories to me, more than any other album I’ve listened to, if I play the songs it takes me right back the moments I first listened to it properly. What I find interesting is that I would say this album, their second album, is their least known even though I would say it is the best/my favourite. THE 1975 – THE 1975
I was so torn between this one and their second album, I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It. But The 1975’s debut album has to be up there with one of my all time favourite albums, I absolutely love The 1975’s sound and really think I could listen to this album forever. The lyrics along with their style is so good and I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who hasn’t listen to them before. If you wanna check it out, click here to buy on Amazon.

Again I tried to whittle down my favourite All Time Low album as there’s quite a few to choose from. When I looked carefully at the songs on each album I have to say the songs on this one win for me. There is such a variety of different song types on this album, I would says its an album that you kinda have to split in categories and listen to different ones depending on your mood because some of them are so feel good, yet some are a bit slower. If you’re looking to buy any All Time Low album, I’d personally get this one! If you wanna check it out, click here to buy on Amazon.

As like every artist on this list apart from Taylor Swift, I’ve just realised, I’ve seen Halsey live and she was pretty amazing. I hadn’t heard much about her until the release of her album Badlands, so I gave it a listen on Spotify and instantly fell in love! I told my friend about her album and we both just went ‘we have to see her live!’ and so we did and it was well worth it. I love pretty much every song on this album, I think her music and voice is so original, nothing like I’ve heard before and the lyrics to the songs are also incredible and tell such great stories. If you fancy listening to something a bit different, I’d say check Halsey out. If you wanna check it out, click here to buy on Amazon.

I was never a huge Taylor fan, I don’t think I’d payed much attention to her before 1989, however I always found myself playing this album over and over again. RED is the album before 1989 and it’s definitely my favourite Swift album. I think it’s a really good mix between her pop and country music and I love pretty much all the songs. However much I love 1989 there’s something about this album that I love just a bit more, if you haven’t even listened to this album, and enjoy both Taylor’s old and new music style this is definitely an album you need to check out. Like many of her other songs there’s a lot based on love, but I find they’re written in a really quirky way in this album, and I always find myself reaching for it. If you wanna check it out, click here to buy on Amazon.

I love 5SOS, and I do love their first album but this album, their second album just feels more like them. It feels like through the whole first album they were just trying to find their sound and suddenly they find it in the second album, Sounds Good Feels Good. There is such a range of songs on this album, from quirky fun ones, to more serious poignant songs. I love the mix as I feel the album is much more from the heart than previous songs. There’s definitely an All Time Low vibe going on in this album, probably not helped by the fact members of All Time Low pitched in with the writing process of some of the songs, so if you like them you’ll probably like at least a few of these songs. Sounds Good Feels Good, does pretty much what it says on the tin, it really does sound good and make you feel good. If you wanna check it out, click here to buy on Amazon.

I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration if you wanted to try and find a new artist to listen to! Please feel free to tweet me (@iucywebb) or comment your thoughts or questions about my choices.

Thanks so much for reading,

Lucy x
